The Great Florida Airport Fiasco

I returned home to rest after dropping off Silber and was up and ready to go by 12:15 a.m. I left home and arrived at MIA at approximately 1:00 a.m. Soon afterward, Noel texted to say that he had landed. He then called at 1:47 a.m. to say that he had cleared immigration, but there was a delay with the other members of his traveling party and that he would let me know when they were out.

Our world came crashing down, as it seemed we were locked in without any way out. The crew of four Red and Blue soldiers and an “Age Animo” princess—who is married to one of the Red and Blue—banded hands and hearts together as we scoured the parking lot for a solution.

Greetings readers, my name is Floyd Harris and I have decided to start a blog called The Chronicles of floydie2shoes. Floydie2shoes' blog is a collection of interesting events in my life. It ranges from childhood memories to work related issues. It will also touch on my ordained and ordered encounter with the love of my life, my snukm, snukm. I am a service oriented individual whose passion to serve is mirrored from my Heavenly Father. My service motto is Colossians 3:23 NIV "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." I spent some time in banking and property administration before migrating to the United States where I now work in the healthcare industry. I trust that the stories will pique your interest and give you an insight into my somewhat introverted life.

  2. What a drama! It was a great read and puts others of us on guard not to make similar mistakes. Imagine the Jamaican version of going Sangsters instead of Norman Manley in Jamaica. OMG!! So grateful two heads better than one and you all came up with a good solution without endangering yourselves.

    1. In reacting to this story, a friend told me of an account where two family members ended up at two separate airports in Jamaica. Interestingly, this was before toll roads. : )
